Nano PCC refers to ultra-fine precipitated calcium carbonate or UFPCC with an average particles diameter of less than 100 nanometers or 0.1 micron in size. Some uses for Nano grade PCC are sealants for the automotive and construction industry, including polyvinyl chloride (PVC) window profiles; impact modifiers in rigid PVC; rheological additive and filler in litho, offset and PVC plastisol silk screen inks; high strength reinforce in rubber and nucleating agent in emulsion polymerisation.
Nano PCC ranges in particle size from 0.06 microns or 60 nanometers to 0.15 microns or 150 nanometers in median particle size. This is an order of magnitude smaller than the so-called Ultrafine Ground Calcium Carbonates, which are typically 0.7 microns. Nano PCC tightly controlled precipitation process results in ultra-fines that are uniform in shape, size and particle size distribution which gives superior performance.
Our Nano PCC comes in powdered form and both can be coated or uncoated form. Coated Nano PCC (Silicon coated or Steric Acid coated) helps in the dispensability to regulate the rheology of materials.
